Theme Park Tips

The Orlando Resort Theme Parks are the best in the world. There is so much to do, a little planning will be a big help to make sure you get to see and do everything you wanted to. You might also learn about something you want to see that you did not know about. For example, did you know there is part of The Berlin Wall at Universal City Walk? Here are a few tips worth sharing

Tips For Any Park:

  • Bring sun screen and water

  • Don't forget your portable cell phone charger and your cord

  • Clear memory space on your phone so you can snap as many pics and videos as you like

  • Download the free apps to monitor wait times, plan your day, and coordinate Lightning Pass

  • Rent a locker when you first arrive so you do not have to carry everything with you all day

  • Most in-park gift shops will hold your items somewhere near the entrance for you so you do not have to carry them

  • Check wait times on the apps to make the best use of your time

  • Get there early.

  • Go opposite of the crowd.

  • Use the Lightning Pass for the attractions with the longest lines.

  • During the parades the lines get shorter so if you're willing to sacrifice the parades, you can save time on busy rides.

  • The barge is also a good option to enter the park.

Sea World
Islands of Adventure
Universal Studios
  • Check wait times on the apps to make the best use of your time

  • If you like roller coasters, ride The Hulk. It starts by shooting you out of a tunnel. No slow climb up a tall hill.

  • Utilize any free refill deals on soft drinks

  • Check the calendar for seasonal events like Mardi Gras. People take those free beads pretty serious so protect yourself near the floats.

  • If you ride Popeye and Bluto's Barge, someone on your barge will get completely soaked

  • Check wait times on the apps to make the best use of your time

  • If you like roller coasters, ride The Mummy. It's awesome!

  • If you get motion sickness, take some Dramamine or Bonine. Rides like The Simpsons are very fun, but surprisingly rough on those of us with dizziness challenges.

  • Spend as much time as you can in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

  • Use the free lockers at the Harry Potter ride. When they say "no bags" they mean no bags. You don't want to waste an hour in line.

  • Pet the dolphins! in the Dolphin Cove Area

  • The sea lions and otters are hilarious, be sure to watch their show

  • Get the All-Day Dining Plan. It is worth it. Amusement park food and drinks are always expensive. This is a good deal

  • Journey To Atlantis is a water roller coaster

  • Don't forget to ride Elmo's Choochoo

  • Mako is the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Orlando
